Waste Electrical and Electronic Disposal (WEEE)
Collecting, Deconstructing and Recycling Retired Electronics
As with all electronic equipment, eventually NICE customers' equipment will be upgraded or replaced. In the European Union (EU) and some other geographies, however, disposing of retired electronic equipment is subject to regulation. Reduction is achieved through various measures which encourage the recovery, reuse and recycling of products and components.
NICE complies with the EU's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2002/96/EC WEEE, and is registered as compliant in all the European countries (UK, France and Germany) where we have a legal presence or are the importer of electronic equipment. In these geographies, NICE recycles all equipment supplied to our customers after August 2005 and returned to NICE via expert WEEE-certified companies. In all other EU countries , NICE channel partners ensure our compliance. In all cases, that means collecting, deconstructing and recycling the materials used in retired NICE electronics without causing any environmental damage.
