NICE and our suppliers use a range of raw materials in manufacturing our products.

The European Union (EU) has issued regulations limiting or forbidding the use of certain hazardous substances in the manufacture of electronic equipment (Restrictions on the Use of Hazardous Substances; Directive 2002/95/EC RoHS). Some states have followed suit. The substances that have restricted use (subject to certain conditions) under RoHS legislation are:

• Lead
• Mercury
• Cadmium
• Hexavalent Chromium
• Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
• Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)

NICE and RoHS Compliance

Proudly, NICE hardware products are RoHS-compliant. In general, the phrase "RoHS-compliant" does not mean "free of all hazardous substances," but that the values of the six hazardous substances controlled under the EU directive do not exceed certain maximum concentration values. NICE achieved RoHS compliance in July 2006. All new products and components manufactured by and for NICE from that date forward are RoHS-compliant.
